Pewsheet 22nd May 2016

A very warm welcome to everyone for our worship today.  There is a lot going on; it’s Trinity Sunday (God is three and one at the same time), it’s the end of Christian Aid week, and we hear about the Minster Church’s vision statement.  What holds it all together? The dynamic flow of love one to another. ‘For God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us’. (Romans 5.5).

Almighty and everlasting God,

you have given us your servants grace,

by the confession of a true faith,

to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity

and in the power of the divine majesty to worship the Unity:

keep us steadfast in this faith,

that we may evermore be defended from all adversities;

through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,

who is alive and reigns with you,

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever.

Romans 5.1 – 5

John 16.12 – 15
